dotMobi Launches Tools For The Mobile Web

dotMobi announced its new "Go Mobile!" initiative which consists of the following core elements:

  1. Ready.mobi – An exciting analysis tool that generates an in-depth report of how well your site will perform on mobile phones. Give it a try, it's very informative with many details provided about your site.
  2. Dev.mobi – A developer forum that provides news, tools and applications for anyone with an interest in the mobile web. There is not much activity on the forum yet but we are sure this will change shortly.
  3. .Mobi Site Builder – an automated mobile web site building tool that will be made available to all .mobi registrars. The tool will be similar to GoDaddy's "Website Tonight", enabling users without any technical knowledge to create their own mobile websites.

This initiative shows once again that .mobi is much more than just a domain extension.

(As a side note, neither of the "obvious" domains dot.mobi and dotmobi.com lead to dotMobi.)
