Domain Statistics Released By VeriSign
VeriSign released the latest issue (PDF file) of its Domain Industry Brief. By the end of 2006, there were more than 120 million registered domains, which represents a growth of 32% over the previous year. In terms of registrations, .com remains the largest top level domain, followed by .de, .net, .uk and .org:

UK domain registry considers changing dispute rules
Nominet, the .uk domain name registry, is considering several changes to the current rules governing its Dispute Resolution Service (DRS), which is similar to ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, or UDRP.
